Leva Talton is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida with more than eight years of experience working as a psychotherapist.
She holds a B.A. in Psychology, earned cum laude from the University of South Florida with a minor in Public Administration, and completed a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, graduating summa cum laude.
Her clinical experience spans clients as young as age five through late adulthood, addressing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, Bipolar I and II, co-occurring disorders, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD and other trauma-related issues, as well as couples and family work and LGBTQ+ concerns.
Talton specializes in areas such as stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger management, depression, addictions, relationship and family conflicts, grief and intimacy-related issues, parenting concerns, self-esteem, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue.
She approaches therapy by meeting clients where they are, offering a warm, nonjudgmental presence. Her work emphasizes mindfulness as a foundation and integrates cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment, and solution-focused methods. Clients remain active participants in their care, with treatment plans built around mutually agreed goals tailored to each person’s needs and priorities.
She invites individuals who are ready to begin making changes to take the first step toward improved well-being.
