Leanne Bartrip

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi my name is Lea, I am a qualified BACP-registered therapist with over ten years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I hold a degree in Psychotherapy and am currently completing a Master’s in Psychology, further deepening my understanding of human behaviour and mental health.

My practice is pluralistic, meaning I draw from different therapeutic approaches to ensure that each session is tailored to the unique needs of the client. While my work is primarily informed by Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I have also received training in several other therapeutic modalities. This flexibility allows me to adapt the therapy process to suit each individual’s goals, preferences, and circumstances.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients experiencing a broad range of issues, including low mood, anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, domestic violence, trauma, self-harm, and Neurodevelopmental challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-led, focusing on helping individuals build resilience, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.

I currently work within the NHS, where I provide therapeutic support to both adults and children. Previously, I have worked across various counties and organisations, offering counselling and emotional support services to people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that therapy should be a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Outside of work, I enjoy adventures with my dog, Rex, and cozy evenings at home watching movies with popcorn. While I don’t have many hobbies, I like motorsports and getting lost in a good book. One of my favourite things each year is our family retreat to a cabin in the woods to reconnect with nature and recharge.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions. One of the clearest advantages is flexibility. Clients can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best: via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life. Each therapist involved is a licensed professional, and if a different style or fit is needed it is possible to switch to another therapist. Online therapy can offer an accessible route to support for a broad range of everyday mental health and wellbeing concerns.
