I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston. I have been in private practice for over 15 years, but have been working in the Mental Health field for over 19 years. I utilize different therapeutic interventions based on the needs of the client. I have training and experience related to the treatment of depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, conflict resolution, parenting skills, anger management, sexual disorders/issues, grief & loss, abandonment and trauma/abuse issues. My mission is to provide quality counseling services and support to individuals wanting to make a commitment to improving their life. LaToshia Spearing is a professional counselor who brings two decades of experience to her work in South Carolina. She holds a license to practice as a professional counselor in South Carolina (SC LPC 4710) and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University after completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the College of Charleston.
With 21 years in the mental health field and more than 15 years in private practice, she uses a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each person’s needs. Her training and clinical experience include treatment for depression, anxiety and other mood disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, anger management, and intimacy-related concerns. She also works with relationship and family conflicts, parenting challenges, career difficulties, LGBT-related concerns, and adjustment to life changes.
LaToshia’s aim is to provide quality counseling and support for individuals who are committed to improving their lives. She recognizes the courage it takes to seek help and invites clients to continue the work they have already started by taking additional steps toward positive change.
