Kelly Lockett is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 19 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families through a wide range of mental health challenges. She draws on clinically informed assessment and therapeutic practices to guide care.
Kelly is committed to helping people gain deeper self-understanding and make meaningful, lasting change. She offers a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, learn new skills and strengthen their emotional wellbeing.
Her approach is wholistic and evidence-based, incorporating therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), talk therapy, relational therapy and integrated approaches.
In addition to clinical practice, Kelly has shared her expertise through tutoring with the University of Tasmania’s Department of Social Work, specialising in mental health and child safety.
Kelly maintains a focus on continuous learning and on empowering individuals to work toward their goals, develop self-management strategies and build emotional resilience. She works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, foster recovery and support movement toward a balanced and purposeful life.
Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist remotely can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - individuals can choose the mode of connection that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into busy lives and access support from different locations.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and if someone feels the need for a different fit they can switch therapists at any time.
