Joanne Copley is a UK-licensed therapist with 12 years of professional experience. She supports people dealing with stress and anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, and the challenges of grief and loss.
She aims to create an open, non-judgmental space where thoughts and feelings can be shared safely, and she offers steady support for those taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life.
Joanne is BACP accredited and holds an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Derby University. Her training covers a range of counselling styles, including humanistic or person-centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
Working collaboratively, she helps clients find the approach that best suits them – some people prefer to direct sessions and choose their focus, while others favour a structured cognitive and behavioural route to develop healthier coping strategies. In every case she guides reflection, encourages awareness of inner strength and voice, and supports healthier emotional processing.
People often wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable to them: through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit would be better they can switch therapists at any time.
