Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am an experienced counsellor based in Greater Manchester & I have worked in private practice & the voluntary & community sector for 9 years. I have experience working with many issues such as anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues.
I also specialise in working with grief and bereavement and all the many issues and feelings a loss can bring. Grief and bereavement doesn’t just refer to the death of a loved one. We also experience grief following the breakdown of a relationship or friendship, the loss of a job, retirement, the loss of ourselves due to physical or mental impairment, moving house, a child moving out of the family home. The list goes on. I have also done a lot of grief work with clients going through fertility issues and pregnancy loss – including those currently going through the process or those that have come to the end of their journey
All these experiences can bring thoughts and feelings we associate with grief. Guilt, anger, regret, relief, loss of purpose, the changing of our roles in family or society. It can leave us feeling isolated, anxious, shameful and as though we have lost our identity
I work with client to help process the loss and support them in moving forward with their life
I am passionate about helping people work through their problems, discover new perspectives, strengths and overall, themselves. I work on a short-term or long-term basis depending on your personal needs and what suits you.
I offer a safe, calming & comfortable space where you can be open & honest without judgement. This is time to focus on YOU. An opportunity to get everything that has been weighing you down off your chest. A chance to gain some peace & clarity without fear of judgement or repercussion
I attend regular supervision and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work according to their code of ethics.
I predominantly work in a person centered way – meaning we work together on the issues you want to bring each week, free of judgment. I try to come into your world and see it through your eyes and from your perspective. Much of the work is guided by you, there is no pressure to go anywhere you are not comfortable with
I also like to bring in other techniques such as CBT as and when it appropriate for the client and their needs

Many people wonder whether remote counselling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and coping with life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat or in-app messaging. That versatility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to work in a setting that feels comfortable.
All therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and individuals are free to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be beneficial. Online therapy can offer an accessible route to consistent support from qualified therapists when it is needed.
