Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes it feels that no one could possibly understand how we are feeling and what we have been going through. I aim to build a trusting relationship where you feel able to bring the things that are important to you.
These may be present or past issues that are affecting you; the need to navigate a significant change or challenge; or a desire to open up new possibilities, or find new levels of wellbeing or fulfilment.
Each person is different, and I will be looking to help find ways of working together that are helpful and empowering for you. I believe that, somewhere within each of us, are the resources and wisdom we need to meet what life brings. Having a compassionate person alongside us can sometimes make a big difference to how fully we can access those parts of ourselves.
I will support you to explore the things that matter to you, and I may encourage you to give attention to what you feel as you do. I believe that can help you find greater stability, freedom, power and choice.
I am able to work with people with a very wide range of needs, but my areas of special interest include working with:
Supporting people to grow their self-connection, self-acceptance, self-trust, self-care, freedom, empowerment and authenticity.
Supporting people to liberate themselves from the stories they hold about life that no longer serve them.
Peoples’ relationship with the things they have associated with shame, and felt they needed to hide.
Peoples’ struggles with harder to accept feelings, including things like anger, fury, rage, resentment and disgust: Helping them get to know the needs behind their emotional responses, and find healthy ways to manage and express them.
Relationships of all kinds, including the conflicts and challenges that arise within them. (I offer this within one-to-one, rather than relationship, counselling.)

Elle Fair understands how overwhelming life can feel and aims to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel able to bring the things that matter to them.
She works with issues that are occurring now as well as past experiences that continue to affect a person, supports people navigating significant changes or challenges, and helps those who want to open up new possibilities or find greater wellbeing and fulfilment.
Recognising that each person is different, Elle looks to find ways of working together that are both helpful and empowering. She believes that, somewhere within each of us, there are resources and wisdom to meet what life brings, and that having a compassionate person alongside can make it easier to access those parts of ourselves.
Elle supports exploration of the things that matter to a client and may encourage attention to what is felt in the moment, as this can help people discover greater stability, freedom, power and choice.
She works with a wide range of needs and has particular interests in supporting people to grow self-connection, self-acceptance, self-trust, self-care, freedom, empowerment and authenticity; helping people to liberate themselves from life stories that no longer serve them; addressing the relationship people have with experiences they associate with shame and have felt they needed to hide; and working with harder-to-accept feelings such as anger, fury, rage, resentment and disgust by identifying the needs behind those emotional responses and finding healthy ways to manage and express them. Elle also supports relationships of all kinds, including the conflicts and challenges that arise within them, and offers this work within one-to-one rather than relationship counselling.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility – you can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether that is by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapeutic support into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if you decide you would like a different fit you can switch therapists at any time. For many people, this mode of working offers an accessible and practical way to address everyday mental health concerns and life transitions.
