Elizabeth “Liz” Pentz is a qualified, person-centred therapeutic counsellor based in the United Kingdom, practising with an eclectic approach and four years of professional experience. She works with people facing depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse and relationship difficulties, and has particular experience supporting those who struggle with low self-esteem and feelings of low self-worth.
Liz recognises that individuals process experiences in different ways and supports clients in developing a stronger internal foundation for living more happily and healthily. She is familiar with the complex and often traumatic nature of loss in all its forms, and has worked extensively in bereavement support, acknowledging that loss can bring conflicting and difficult emotions.
She has specific training in supporting victims of sexual and domestic abuse and helps clients come to terms with distressing life events while building healthy coping strategies for difficult times. Liz offers empathy and a non-judgemental presence, meeting clients in 45 minute sessions over a period of weeks or according to the client’s preference.
Working from a person-centred perspective, she does not prescribe one solution for everyone but creates an environment where clients can explore feelings and behaviours and develop their own inner resources. Liz is also trained in mindfulness and relaxation techniques, which she may introduce as useful tools when appropriate.
She is a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and looks forward to speaking with potential clients. Take good care, Liz Pentz.
