Durim Dogani is an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and practices as a counsellor and psychotherapist in the United Kingdom. He offers counselling in a confidential and supportive space and provides bereavement support following training with CRUSE and work with their clients.
Durim works with people for both short-term and long-term therapy depending on individual needs, addressing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, work-related stress, trauma and abuse, LGBTQ+ issues, addictions, anger, loss, health-related matters, identity and men’s issues. He also supports those experiencing relationship difficulties, obsessions, self-harm, questions of sexual identity, low self-esteem, cultural issues and other reasons someone might seek help.
As an integrative counsellor and therapist, Durim draws on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches so the work can be tailored to each person’s needs. He places importance on working ethically and aims to provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment in which a strong, trusted therapeutic relationship can develop.
Recognising that people can become stuck during challenging stages of life or when events affect their ability to cope, Durim offers an independent space to explore thoughts and feelings. He works with clients to build insight into their situation and support the changes they want to make, emphasising that no one has to manage difficult experiences alone.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and practice indicate that these types of difficulties often respond well to therapy delivered remotely.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can choose the way they connect that fits their life best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging - making it easier to attend sessions and maintain continuity of care.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and therapists. If someone feels a different fit would suit them better, it is possible to switch practitioners at any time.
