Donna uses a range of evidence-informed approaches, including client-centered therapy, strength-focused work, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational enhancement. Her clinical focus covers depression, stress and anxiety management, family conflict, relationship issues, grief and anger, women’s concerns, coping with life and career transitions, addictions, trauma and abuse, LGBT-related matters, parenting challenges, anger management, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and grief.
She has helped clients develop practical skills and strategies to address recurring problems and the challenges life presents. Donna is a licensed master’s-level social worker in Michigan who treats clients with respect and compassion, and she strives to build a positive therapeutic relationship that supports change at each person’s own pace. She looks forward to working with new clients.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - individuals can connect in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to incorporate therapy into daily life.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is desired, it is possible to switch therapists. Online therapy offers a practical, adaptable option for many of the issues people commonly seek help for.
