I enjoy being a wife and boy mom to my 3-year-old son. Lover of cats and dogs. I enjoy boating, hiking, snow skiing, cooking, live music, tarot and oracle card readings.
I have delivered services to diverse populations in the mental health field, ranging from children with severe, emotional and behavioral challenges to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and co-occurring disorders. I utilize a multimodal approach based on the needs of each individual client. Counseling, to me, promotes the optimal well-being of the whole person and supports the person’s emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. I view counseling as a way to assist clients in facing the reality of their lives by facilitating a safe space for their own self-discovery and growth. My techniques as a therapist focus on the client as the active participant for change and myself as the catalyst for collaboration, support, and guidance. I counsel from a strengths-based perspective, incorporating a blend of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Solution-Focused, and Expressive Arts Therapy; all of which embody a person-centered approach to healing.
*Please note on my schedule as of right now I am only offering evening session times as I work full-time elsewhere during daytime hours.
*Please note if you are more than 10 minutes late to a session, I will log out of the meeting room and it will be considered a “no show.”
