Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, my name is Caroline and I am an MSc qualified & experienced counsellor and psychotherapist to help you feel safe and able to work through your experiences in a gentle way. How would you feel if you didn’t have those difficult feelings or traumatic memories? Those feelings that can seem impossible or overwhelming really can feel different. Or maybe you just need to have someone you feel safe to talk with. I would be pleased to work with you. I qualified as a counsellor in 2020 at Keele University, and am currently studying an aspect of nutrition and its impact on our mental health. I have been working therapeutically with clients using EFT (Tapping) and Matrix Reimprinting since 2015 both in person and online.
My counselling style is person-centred with an integrative approach. When appropriate, I use the quick, easy and gentle tools of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping) to get to the core of issues, to transform & resolve. Matrix Re-imprinting is another tool I use which allows us to be able to feel differently about past traumas or unhelpful thoughts or behaviours. When appropriate, I borrow from some CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Transactional Analysis approaches. I have worked with a wide range of experiences with a particular ability to work with very difficult life experiences or very unhelpful behaviours.
To give you a few examples (and this is not an exhaustive list), clients have had anxiety, anger, depression, family issues or were feeling sad. Low self-confidence and low self-esteem as well as panic attacks and social anxiety have also featured, plus self-harming. Trauma and childhood trauma are sadly far too common and I have worked with suicidal feelings and experiences. Some of my clients have either had autistic tendencies or diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
I have needed my fair share of help in my time and know what courage that takes to seek help. My aim is to support and empower you on your journey.
I aim to offer you your first session within 36 hours of first connecting with me – even if a counselling session doesn’t seem available on my schedule. We’ll sort this via message to find something that works for us both.
I look forward to working with you.

Caroline Tresman is an MSc-qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who creates a calm, safe space to help people work through difficult feelings and traumatic memories in a gentle way.
She qualified as a counsellor in 2020 at Keele University and has a decade of experience supporting clients. Caroline has been working therapeutically since 2015 using EFT (Tapping) and Matrix Reimprinting, delivering both in-person and online sessions. She is also currently studying an aspect of nutrition and its impact on mental health.
Her practice is person-centred with an integrative approach. When appropriate she uses EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping) to address core issues and Matrix Re-imprinting to help shift responses to past traumas or unhelpful patterns. She also draws on elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Transactional Analysis when they fit the work.
Caroline has experience with a broad range of concerns. Examples include anxiety, anger, depression, family difficulties, low self-confidence and low self-esteem, panic attacks, social anxiety, self-harming, trauma and childhood trauma, and suicidal feelings and experiences. She has also worked with clients who have autistic tendencies or a formal autism spectrum diagnosis.
She has needed help in her own life and understands the courage it takes to seek support. Her aim is to support and empower people as they work through challenges and make changes.
Caroline is based in the United Kingdom and is a female, gay, older, non-religious and liberal therapist. She aims to offer a first session within 36 hours of first contact – even if her schedule does not initially show availability, she will arrange a suitable time by message.
She looks forward to working with new clients and supporting them on their journey.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It can offer a practical way to access support for everyday mental health needs.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapy provided online is delivered by licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. This approach can make ongoing care more accessible while maintaining the core therapeutic work.
