Carole Davies works with people experiencing major life transitions such as bereavement, relationship breakdown, or career loss or change. These events commonly involve grief and can leave someone feeling low, anxious, lacking motivation and purpose, and struggling with confidence and self-esteem.
She supports clients in rebuilding and restructuring their lives, helping them reconcile the past, find joy in the present and imagine new possibilities for the future.
Carole has experience in an addiction recovery setting and assists people who are navigating their return to life as newly sober and clean individuals when the consequences of past addictive behaviour feel overwhelming or shameful.
She is an accredited counsellor with 5 years' experience and aims to create an open, safe environment where clients can share their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Carole works in a non-directive, humanistic way so that each session is guided by whatever is uppermost for the client.
Previous clients have said: “felt validated and accepted from the first session”; “felt an instant rapport and connection”; “perspective... I feel like myself again”; “I found my happy self again”; and “I feel confident and I’m looking forward to the next phase of my life.”
It can take courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life. When someone is ready to take that step, Carole offers support and empowerment and looks forward to helping people write the next chapter of their lives.
Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most cases.
A major benefit is flexibility. People can choose the format that suits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and if someone wants a different therapeutic fit they can change therapists at any time. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, professional option for support with everyday mental health challenges.
