Bonneka Seals

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I recognize each person has their own unique struggles and seeking help is a big step. Thank you for taking the first steps in seeking help. I offer a variety of services tailored to your specific needs.

As a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, I provide social and emotional support to individuals struggling with relationships, life stressors, depression, anxiety, life transitions, addictions, trauma, mental health challenges, as well as many other life situations. I serve adults who are suffering and/or perhaps feel “stuck” in their lives due to sadness, worries about the future, negative self-evaluations, dissatisfaction with how they look, dealing relationship conflicts, or difficulty navigating through major life decisions. My specialized training in trauma allows me to help empower survivors of traumatic situations including abusive relationships to facilitate change.

My focus is on the person as a whole, not the mental health disorder. Together we can work through the process of growth and change as well as helping you free yourself from “unhealthy patterns.” Developing mindfulness and self-awareness is the origin of change. There is a strong connection between mental health and happiness. You are in control of your happiness. Let me help you navigate to your destination of ” happiness. ”

My counseling philosophy is based on a collaborative empathic relationship between the client and the therapist. When asked about my treatment approach, I often respond with “it’s ‘our’ approach.” My role is collaborative. Therefore, I will not tell you what to think or do, but rather, develop a relationship that allows us to find the answers together. As a licensed therapist, my theory for counseling is an integrative approach which includes client-centered, emotionally focused, and evidence based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Person-centered, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Therapy.

My areas of specialty include substance abuse, trauma, anxiety/depression, domestic violence, life coaching, career counseling, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem issues, severe mental health issues and mindfulness.

As a licensed mental health therapist, I am committed to “being there” for you. I am the perfect match for you as a therapist. You are in the driver seat of your life. When you are ready to make the changes for a happier “you” contact me.
I look forward to working with you!

She holds national certification in counseling, is licensed to practice in Wisconsin (WI LPC 6744-125), and is trained to address substance use concerns as a clinical substance abuse counselor. With 10 years of clinical experience, she provides social and emotional support to adults coping with relationship difficulties, life stressors, depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, and other mental health challenges. She works with people who feel stuck due to sadness, worry about the future, harsh self-evaluations, dissatisfaction with appearance, relationship conflict, or difficulty making major life decisions. Her specialized training in trauma equips her to support survivors of traumatic situations, including those emerging from abusive relationships, and to help facilitate meaningful change.

Her practice emphasizes the whole person rather than focusing only on a diagnosis. She fosters growth by developing mindfulness and self-awareness as foundations for change, and she approaches therapy as a collaborative process. Bonneka often describes her work as “our” approach, reflecting a partnership where she does not dictate what to think or do but helps clients explore and discover answers together. Her integrative clinical approach combines client-centered and emotionally focused work with evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused techniques, Person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Therapy.

Her areas of specialty include substance abuse, trauma, anxiety and depression, domestic violence, life coaching, career counseling, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, severe mental health issues, and mindfulness. She is committed to being present for clients as they pursue change. When a person is ready to move toward greater well-being, Bonneka encourages them to reach out to begin the work together.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist remotely can truly help. For common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their routine and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life. All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is desired, clients are able to switch therapists at any time. For many people, the combination of evidence-based care and flexible access makes online therapy a practical and effective option for addressing everyday mental health concerns.
