Angelo Fouras brings 16 years of direct clinical experience to his work, offering patient and nonjudgmental support to people facing stress, anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, depression, addictions, trauma, and other life challenges. He believes each person’s circumstances call for an individualized plan and treats therapy as a collaborative process focused on both short- and long-term goals.
In sessions he combines evidence-informed approaches and adapts his methods to the needs of the individual, drawing on motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral techniques, humanistic perspectives, and solution-focused counseling when appropriate. Clients can expect honesty, empathy, compassion, and his full attention; he aims to be a steady, positive presence and to move at each person’s pace.
His role is to empower and support clients, to treat them with respect, and to help them work toward healthier, more satisfying lives. Angelo works to create a space where people feel heard and supported as they pursue practical changes and personal growth.
Angelo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. His career has included home-based work, group facilitation, and outpatient clinical practice across a range of settings - schools, community programs, outpatient clinics, group homes, and telehealth. That variety, and experience working with people from childhood through late life, has contributed to his skills as a well-rounded clinician.
He is a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey, credentialed as NJ LCSW 44sc05659300, and he looks forward to meeting and working with new clients.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical practice have found that, for these types of issues, remote care often delivers comparable results.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility. People can connect in the format that works best for them - video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone determines they need a different fit they can switch therapists at any time. Online therapy is a practical option for many who want professional support without changing the way they manage their day-to-day life.
