Alison May is an inclusive counsellor based in the United Kingdom with six years of experience. She trained in an integrative style of therapy, drawing on a range of approaches to tailor support to each person’s needs. She aims to meet people where they are and works flexibly to provide practical and compassionate support. Alison treats therapy as a collaborative process - she works together with people as a team and believes each person is the expert on their own story. She recognises the courage it takes to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and is there to support and empower people through that change. Her experience covers a variety of concerns including anxiety, matters of sexuality and gender, relationship difficulties, addiction, depression, trauma, uncertainty about how to move forward in life, self-esteem issues, and the effects of life-changing diagnoses. Alison is a strong ally to people of colour and to trans people, and she brings both lived personal experience and specific training and professional experience working with LGBT+ people and neurodiverse people, with a particular interest in ADHD and Autism.
