About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor graduated from the University of Maryland with 16 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings, ranging from the homeless population of New York, in-home therapy, schools and office settings. I have provided individual, family and couples counseling. I have focused on issues regarding depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic attacks and behavioral issues however I also have experience working with individuals dealing with substance abuse, dual diagnoses, phase of life problems, adjustment problems, abuse, trauma, low self esteem, relational problems, social skills, attention and concentration difficulties, parenting issues, among other issues of concern.
I use a series of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Client-Centered, solution-focused approach and family systems suited for each individual’s needs. I strive to create a compassionate, judgement-free atmosphere in every session.

Martha “Marty” Mauppin is a licensed clinical mental health counselor who graduated from the University of Maryland and brings 16 years of clinical experience.
