Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Certified Counsellor registered with Australia Counselling Association. I’m a warm and compassionate person, who has always been a natural helper, and prides herself on establishing trusting relationships. After completing my Bachelor of Counselling in 2022 at ACAP, I continued to provide counselling to women who experienced Domestic Violence. I then started working at Dementia Australia in Oct 2022, providing Brief Solution Focused Therapy and emotional support to carers and people living with Dementia. I have gained more than 911 client contact hours, plus close to 75 hours of clinic supervision, which included individual and group supervision hours. In late 2022, I also decided to open my own Counselling private practice, which I have been thoroughly enjoying as it aligns with my passions of providing emotional support the community. I have been specialising in working with clients on treating depression anxiety and healing childhood trauma in adults. I strongly believe working with Betterhelp will allow me to add another layer of specialisation to the work I am already doing. I have been undergoing training on how to treat trauma in survivors, depression and anxiety and apply many grief and loss techniques in relationship issues work, as well as working closely with a clinician supervisor who specialises in Psychotherapy, and I have become very drawn to this field. I am about to commence my Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling and I believe learning more about Psychotherapy, trauma-informed therapy, person-centred and ethics will be a great addition to my business, as I pride myself on delivering an ethical practice. I used a mix of Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Gestalt and always go back to principles of Trauma- informed and person-centred approach. I look forward to meeting you 🙂

After completing a Bachelor of Counselling in 2022 at ACAP, Pamela continued providing counselling support to women who had experienced domestic violence. In October 2022 she began working at Dementia Australia, offering Brief Solution Focused Therapy and emotional support to carers and people living with dementia.
Pamela has accumulated more than 911 client contact hours and nearly 75 hours of clinic supervision, including both individual and group supervision. In late 2022 she launched a private counselling practice that aligns with her passion for offering emotional support to the community.
Her clinical focus includes working with adults on depression, anxiety and healing childhood trauma. She also works closely with a clinician supervisor who specialises in psychotherapy and has developed a strong interest in that field.
Pamela is about to commence a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling and values ongoing study in psychotherapy, trauma-informed therapy, person-centred practice and professional ethics as complementary to her clinical work. She looks forward to meeting prospective clients.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Individuals can choose the format that fits their needs and comfort level – video sessions, phone calls, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy life.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels they need a different fit they have the option to switch practitioners at any time.
