Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Therapy can be a life changing catalyst, helping clients make their journey toward more enriching and fulfilling relationships with themselves, their families, colleagues and friends. Sometimes big changes have to be made, other times, just looking at a problem in a different way can assist a client toward more of a feeling of control and agency. Some clients have grown up not being known by their families at all, no one was all that interested in them when they were kids, and this can mean that more intensive work is occasionally needed. Some clients can be feeling anxious about powerful feelings (such as anger) and this can lead them to think there is something wrong or shameful about them, which can lead to the client feeling very alienated.
I find it beneficial to encourage more creative ways of thinking about problems, exploring alternative approaches, to the way we see ourselves and the world. As a therapist, I am constantly appraising and adapting the work, so that we, me and the client, can explore the inner life of the client together. To be heard by a non-judgmental witness can be truly transformative and powerful changes can be made with the companionship of a caring therapist by a person’s side. This is the basis on which I approach the development of my work and relationship with clients.

Sally Masson sees therapy as a catalyst for meaningful change, supporting people who want more enriching and satisfying relationships with themselves, family members, colleagues and friends.
At times the work she offers asks for significant changes; at other times a fresh way of looking at a problem is enough to restore a sense of control and personal agency. She recognises that some people grew up without feeling known by their families, and that history can sometimes require deeper, more intensive work.
Some clients become anxious about strong feelings such as anger, and may come to believe those emotions are wrong or shameful – a belief that can leave them feeling isolated. Sally aims to normalise and explore these experiences rather than amplify the shame around them.
She encourages creative ways of thinking and the exploration of alternative perspectives on the self and the world. Constantly appraising and adapting the therapeutic work, she and the client investigate the client’s inner life together. To be listened to by a non-judgmental witness can be transformative, and Sally believes powerful change often happens with the steady companionship of a caring therapist. This commitment underpins her approach to developing the therapeutic relationship and the work itself.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person work for most people.
A major benefit is flexibility – you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and if you find you need a different fit you are free to switch to another therapist at any time.
