Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
As a licensed professional counselor, I believe in meeting clients on a level playing field as each client has a unique and personal understanding of themselves and is an expert in their own lives. I look to my clients to educate me on what is important to them and how we might best work together to reach a positive outcome. My fundamental belief is that most people are doing the best they can at any given point in their life and there are straight forward reasons for doing what they choose to do. I don’t get bogged down in talking about good or bad, right or wrong, or he said she said but rather what are more effective choices in creating a life worth living. I am extensively trained in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). CBT is the number one therapeutic modality in the world bar none and was developed by Dr. Aaron Beck. I had the good fortune to receive 160 hours of advanced training by the Beck Institute. I also am certified (C-DBT) in Dialectical Behavior Therapy developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan where the focus is on making decisions about what will work effectively for you and what is not effectively. Information on both CBT and DBT are available online to help you make an informed decision on how best to move forward in your goals and in your life.

Jonetta Wakely approaches counseling as a collaborative process, meeting each person on common ground and respecting that individuals are experts in their own lives. She invites clients to explain what matters to them and to guide how they and she will work together toward meaningful progress.
She works from the belief that most people are doing the best they can at any given point and that behaviors usually have straightforward reasons behind them. Rather than labeling choices as good or bad or getting caught in who-said-what, she focuses on identifying more effective options that help create a life worth living.
With two decades of clinical experience, Jonetta is a licensed professional counselor practicing in Oklahoma. She has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an approach developed by Dr. Aaron Beck, and completed 160 hours of advanced training through the Beck Institute. She is also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), the model developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan. Information on both CBT and DBT is available online to help people decide which approach best supports their goals.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
A major benefit is convenience and flexibility – you can engage with a therapist in the format that works best for you, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to include therapy in an already busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online care, and you have the option to change therapists at any time if you need a different fit. For many, online therapy is a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health concerns and move toward personal goals.
