Dr. Zereana Jess-Huff welcomes people who are ready to take steps toward better mental health and recognizes how much courage it takes to seek help. She is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist, authorized to practice in Texas and Florida, and brings 15 years of clinical experience to her work with individuals.
She currently accepts individual clients ages 13 and older and uses an educational, skills-focused approach centered on behavioral activation. Over time clients build a growing set of tools as therapy progresses toward healthier, more sustainable ways of living.
Dr. Jess-Huff integrates several evidence-based theories in ways that are relatable and relevant to day-to-day life. Her specialties include work with adolescents (13 and older), ADHD, complex PTSD, depression, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety disorder. She is also trained to treat certain process addictions, including shopping addiction, gambling addiction, and love addiction.
She has a particular interest in women’s health and in serving members of the LGBTQIA community, with a focus on supporting individuals who identify as transgender. Committed to supporting and empowering clients, Dr. Jess-Huff offers steady guidance for those ready to begin meaningful change and looks forward to connecting with new clients.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility - clients can choose the mode of connection that works best for them, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule and to keep continuity of care when life gets complicated.
Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients may change providers if they need a different fit. For many people, remote therapy provides a practical, evidence-informed option to address everyday mental health concerns while fitting into real life.
