Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hey there! I am Whitney Hughes, she/her. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Mental Health and Emotional Wellness Connection Coach as well as a Trauma-Informed Certified Pause Breathwork Facilitator.
Many years ago, I graduated from the University of Maine with a BA in Liberal Studies, which allowed me to concentrate on the behavioral sciences. 3 children later, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. I knew I wanted to use my personal story, my battles with anxiety, depression, CPTSD, PTSD, substance use, my professional experience, and my educational background to support not only myself but so many others on their own, unique healing journey.
Some of the most important elements of my therapeutic work are CONNECTION, SAFETY, and INCLUSIVITY.
Throughout my journey, I have learned that when I connect with myself, I am able to deepen my connection with others and the world in which we live. When we connect inward, to ourselves, we connect to our intuition, that part of ourselves that creates clarity, peace, and alignment in our daily lives.
As humanBEINGS, we are wired for connection. When we lose sight of this connection, our lives can get messy. In order to connect, we must first feel safe, seen, heard, and held.
My personal mission is to connect with you, to help you connect with your truest self, and to create a safe space for you to share your story. I am here to encourage, listen, witness, and support you.
My continued journey has taught me that we, that YOU, already have the power to shift your world, and sometimes we need someone who we can open up to and trust to help us see the light that is already within.
I am looking forward to connecting soon!

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, remote therapy has demonstrated effectiveness comparable to in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to build therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and patients may switch therapists if they seek a different fit. Online therapy can offer a practical and evidence-based route to addressing everyday mental health and relationship challenges while providing options that accommodate varied lifestyles.
