Wendy Bennett is a licensed UK counsellor who supports people facing relationship difficulties within families and in intimate partnerships. She has additional training and hands-on experience in bereavement through volunteering at her local hospice, and she works with childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, divorce and many other life challenges.
Working in a person-centred way, Wendy avoids pressuring people to complete tasks they do not want to do. She listens, offers gentle prompts and supports clients to make their own decisions and discover their own path forward.
Wendy’s approach is relaxed and informal so clients can feel at ease discussing whatever is on their mind without judgment and with empathy, compassion and understanding. She is a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Before training as a counsellor, Wendy spent 15 years as a teacher, an experience that gave her broad insight into human nature. In her free time she enjoys walking her three dogs, painting and attempting to crochet when she has a spare moment.
