Vyata Mungur practices from the conviction that eudaemonia - human flourishing and a contented state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous - is attainable for everyone. Over a 20-year career providing counseling to children, adolescents, young adults, adults, professionals, and families, Vyata has worked in individual, couple, family, and group settings to address a wide range of concerns.
Clients come to Vyata seeking relief from distressing internal experiences - thoughts, feelings, sensations - as well as external patterns of behavior and communication. With Vyata, clients learn practical coping strategies for uncomfortable private experiences, examine the purpose behind their behavior, and build skills for self-management and relationship-management so they can move toward thriving in multiple areas of life.
Vyata cultivates a private, trusting, collaborative client-counselor relationship that offers a safe space to process difficult thoughts and emotions without judgment or minimization. Through the therapeutic work clients may experience catharsis, learn cognitive reframing and restructuring techniques, and practice mindfulness to become more present and grounded. Therapy also emphasizes identifying core beliefs that no longer serve well, increasing self-awareness and social awareness, and recognizing internal and external obstacles to growth.
Therapy with Vyata focuses on building resilience and facilitating healing from psychological or emotional wounds and trauma. Clients are supported in exploring new perspectives, adopting adaptive relational patterns, developing conflict-resolution skills, and integrating coping approaches that fit their lives. The process acknowledges that meaningful change often involves discomfort, and Vyata remains alongside clients, offering consistent support and acceptance.
Vyata Mungur is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida (FL LMHC MH17904). Vyata earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2004 and is a Ph.D. candidate in Conflict Resolution and Analysis at Nova Southeastern University, Florida.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person services.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that best suits their lifestyle and comfort level, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of access makes it easier to incorporate consistent care into daily routines.
Therapists providing online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. For many people, online sessions offer a practical and effective pathway to addressing emotional and relational concerns while fitting therapy into a busy life.
