Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Vielka E. Johnson. I received my BA in Psychology in 1996 from the University of Colorado. In 1998 I moved to San Antonio, TX and continued in receiving my master’s degree in counseling and in 2006 was licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been fortunate to have worked with such a diverse population within our community. My background primarily is with children and adolescents ages 3 to 18; however, I have worked with young adults and adults up to the ages of 65+.
I have worked in variety of settings to include community agencies, school settings and residential facilities. I have experience in working with therapeutic foster care children, family domestic violence, mental and physical abuse, the mobile crisis unit, and crisis intervention. I am trained in Trauma Focus CBT. I also incorporate different modalities approaches to address the needs of the client. I am deeply committed in assisting clients with identifying their strengths and weaknesses; learning new skills to achieve their goals and improve their lives.

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major advantage is the flexibility it offers. Clients can connect in the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a client feels they need a different fit, they can switch therapists at any time. This combination of proven effectiveness and practical convenience makes online therapy a viable option for many seeking support.
