Tina Jennings

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi my name is Tina, I am an accredited registered counsellor with the NCPS and I have a BSc Therapeutic Counselling and an advanced diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have quite a lot of life experience and along with my counselling experience I can support and guide you through your own experience of what has or is happening to you and hopefully together we can come up with solutions and a positive way forward. I am a person centred counsellor incorporating CBT and brief solution focussed skills to help you to deal with what is happening in the here and now. I am also extremely empathic and understanding and have an innate sense of what the client is feeling and sensing even if I have had no personal experience of the what the client has experienced. I have a very open mind and have a non judgemental attitude to life as we are all learning on our own individual pathways and I can support you in your journey whatever your journey means to you. I have also been in the Army when I was younger and have an understanding of trauma and post traumatic stress disorder and how that can impact on life many years later. I have experience of working within the NHS as part of the Pastoral and Spiritual Care and our main work was to support our clients through low mood, depression, anxiety and also grief and loss. I have worked for Mind and also I am currently working part time for a digital mental health organisation and can help clients navigate through suicide intention and thoughts and give them hope for the future and a way forward in dealing with life. A little bit about me…I have had quite a lot of life experience, some good and some bad but I’ve always retained my sense of optimism and hope for the future and I have found that this attitude has kept me going in difficult times. I understand attachment, grief and loss and have had to deal with a lot of bereavements in a short space of time but I do believe with the right support, either from counselling, friends and family, a person can eventually come to terms with and accept their loss. I believe from the feedback that I have been given is that I can support my clients on their life journey, and give them empathy, compassion and help them to explore solutions and new ideas which may help them to have a different perspective on their lives. I also see myself as a spiritual person, not necessarily religious, but I believe that my spiritual beliefs helps me in the work that I do. I am happy to work with clients from both European and non European countries who are English speaking. We work within an Ethical Framework and more information can be found on the following website: https://nationalcounsellingsociety.org

About

Tina Jennings is an accredited registered counsellor with the NCPS who holds a BSc in Therapeutic Counselling and an advanced diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She combines a person-centred foundation with cognitive behavioural therapy and brief solution-focused skills to support people in dealing with what is happening in the here and now.

With around a decade of practice and a broad range of life experience, Tina offers empathic, non-judgemental support and practical guidance to help clients explore solutions and find a positive way forward. She describes herself as highly empathic with a natural ability to sense what clients may be feeling, even when she has not personally lived the same experience.

Her background includes military service, which contributes to an understanding of trauma and post-traumatic stress and the long-term impact these can have. Tina has worked within the NHS delivering pastoral and spiritual care, focusing on low mood, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. She has also worked for Mind and currently works part time for a digital mental health organisation, supporting clients who are experiencing suicidal intention or thoughts and helping them find hope and a way forward.

Tina acknowledges a spiritual outlook that is not necessarily religious and maintains an open, accepting stance toward each person’s individual pathway. She understands attachment, grief and bereavement and believes that, with appropriate support from counselling, friends or family, people can eventually come to terms with and accept their losses. Tina is happy to work with English-speaking clients from both European and non-European countries and practices within an Ethical Framework. More information about the ethical framework is available on the National Counselling Society website.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or major life changes, online therapy can be just as effective as in-person counselling. Research and clinical experience indicate that remote sessions offer meaningful support for these everyday mental health challenges.

A major benefit of online work is flexibility – clients can choose how to connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to continue work during times of practical constraint.

Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and it is possible to switch to a different therapist at any time if someone needs a better fit. For many people, remote therapy provides accessible, practical support that helps them address current issues and move forward with their lives.
