Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Dear Reader, My name is Theresa and I reside in the city of Swansea, South Wales, UK. As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and CBT Therapist, Accredited MBACP, and Accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our therapeutic journey together.
Having qualified in 2018, I have dedicated my career to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their unique paths. My approach is rooted in compassion, kindness, patience, and an unwavering understanding of the times when life’s challenges seem insurmountable.
In addition to my foundational qualifications, I am deeply committed to continuous professional development. I regularly engage in advanced training and attend workshops and seminars to stay up to date with the latest practices and methodologies in the field of counselling. This dedication to lifelong learning ensures that I can provide the most effective and evidence-based support to my clients, and it remains a strong directive in my professional journey.
My qualification as an Integrative Counsellor allows me to adopt a variety of strategies and approaches tailored to support positive change in clients experiencing a wide range of psychological and mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, grief, family conflicts, and relationship difficulties. By drawing from diverse therapeutic models, I am able to provide a comprehensive and personalised approach that meets your specific needs. As a CBT Therapist I follow the structured approach to suit your individual needs and work together on creating positive change.
In my practice, I adapt my techniques to suit your individual needs and preferences. This person-centred approach allows me to support your self-belief, trust, and confidence, fostering personal growth and positive change. I firmly believe that by embracing our individuality and unique perspectives, we can make meaningful changes that truly resonate with us.
During my initial years as a counsellor, I enhanced my skills at MIND, a mental health charity, where I encountered a diverse range of clients seeking guidance. This invaluable experience has equipped me with the ability to assist clients in navigating self-development, understanding, acceptance, and fostering positive change.
Following my time at MIND, I spent several years working as a counsellor within the educational industry, where I provided support to students and staff facing a variety of challenges. This role further enhanced my ability to adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of individuals within an educational setting.
Currently, I operate my own private practice, where I continue to apply my skills and experience to help clients from all walks of life. Through my private practice, I am able to offer a more personalised and flexible approach, ensuring that each client’s goals and aspirations are at the forefront of our work together.
I offer a variety of evidence-based tools and techniques tailored to address the specific issues impacting your life. These include cognitive-behavioural techniques, mindfulness exercises, and communication strategies. My aim is to help you live the life you want and deserve, in collaboration with you. Your goals become my goals, and together, we embark on this transformative journey.
In our sessions, I listen without judgment and hear without interrupting, providing a safe and secure place for you to talk through your problems. This environment is crucial for building a strong therapeutic relationship and fostering trust and openness.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my practice. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to work with you and support you in achieving your aspirations.
Warmest wishes
Theresa

Many people ask whether therapy delivered online can genuinely help. For a range of common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can choose the way they meet that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists providing online work are licensed professionals, and if someone feels they need a different therapeutic fit they can switch to another therapist at any time.
