Stephanie Arzavala-Reed is a licensed clinical professional counselor with 10 years of experience who is based in Illinois and holds professional counseling licenses in Oregon and Missouri. She knew from the age of 13 that she wanted to be a counselor and has long found helping others to be deeply rewarding.
She strives to provide a safe, judgment-free space where vulnerability is respected and open, honest conversation can begin the healing process. Stephanie works with a wide variety of presenting concerns and connects easily with teens and young adults navigating life transitions.
She has several years of experience supporting women who have experienced trauma, members of the LGBTQ community, and couples seeking relational work. Her approach is individualized; she tailors treatment to each person’s needs and the primary sources of distress presented in a session.
Stephanie generally draws from person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused methods, and she collaborates with clients to identify goals and build a treatment plan. She is skilled in treatment and psychoeducation for stress, anxiety, depression, communication, coping skills, self-care, family conflicts, marital support, and more.
Stephanie welcomes the opportunity to be part of a client’s healing process and looks forward to working together toward the life and goals they want.
