Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, and welcome to the new wave of support in the digital age. Great work in taking the first step to find a provider who will fit your needs and beliefs. My name is Sarah Watt, and I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified clinical trauma professional, and certified sex addiction counselor. Counseling was not always the dream I had for my future however, it was my calling. People are often called to be many different things in one lifetime, but I always go back to my core: counselor, mentor, coach, and supporter. If you are looking for someone to be there along-side in this journey we call life, I am it!
I began my career in Northeast Ohio first volunteering and then taking this into my studies. I received a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2003 and a master’s degree in counseling in 2007 through John Carroll University. Following this, my family suffered a loss, so I relocated to Florida to be there to support them. Beautifully enough, I have since started a family of my own and planted roots personally and professionally. I opened a small private practice in 2017 which has helped many suffering from dissociative disorders, trauma, and addictions issues.
My background in the field after 15 years is very diverse from inpatient hospital settings, community mental health work, residential treatment, in-school therapy, to an outpatient work setting. My heart has always been invested in helping people to lift themselves out of the worst of life circumstances or merely learn to love the life they are living and fully. Approaches to helping include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based practices, client centered therapy, solutions focused, relational recovery, trauma processing and attachment healing.
It is both an honor and privilege to be able to work with you on your journey towards health and wellness. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions for me and my style. It is hard to gather personality from a written synopsis so I would be more than willing to video or chat by phone to ensure we are a great fit for each other. The relationship is 90% of the therapy process so let’s be certain we are the right match so you can get the most out of your therapy process. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sarah Watt is a Florida-based mental health counselor who brings 15 years of clinical experience to her work with people facing stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy and relationship concerns, family conflict, sleep difficulties, parenting challenges, anger, self-esteem struggles, career problems, mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and depression, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
She is licensed to practice as a mental health counselor in Florida (license MH12814) and holds certifications as a clinical trauma professional and as a sex addiction counselor. Counseling began as a calling for her and she identifies her core roles as counselor, mentor, coach, and supporter, offering steady guidance alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
Watt began her work in Northeast Ohio, first through volunteer roles and then as part of her formal training. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2003 and completed a master’s degree in counseling in 2007 at John Carroll University. After a family loss she relocated to Florida, where she has since established personal and professional roots and started a family.
In 2017 she opened a small private practice that has supported many people dealing with dissociative disorders, trauma, and addiction. Her background spans inpatient hospital settings, community mental health, residential treatment, in-school therapy, and outpatient work, giving her a broad perspective on treatment needs across levels of care.
Her therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based and relational methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based practices, client-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, relational recovery, trauma processing, and attachment healing. She places strong value on the therapeutic relationship and is willing to speak by phone or by video to help determine whether the fit is right, since a strong working relationship is central to getting the most from therapy.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience indicate that, for these typical issues, remote treatment often matches the outcomes of face-to-face care.
One major advantage of online therapy is flexibility. People can choose the mode of connection that fits their schedule and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility can make it easier to attend sessions regularly and to integrate therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients may switch therapists if they want a different fit. For many individuals seeking help with common mental health or relationship concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical path to support and coping strategies.
