Rupinder Sagoo is a BACP-accredited counselling psychotherapist based in the United Kingdom with over 25 years of experience in mental health. She specialises in Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, an approach that considers the full range of emotional, psychological, physical, relational and lifestyle factors that affect wellbeing. She works with both short-term and longer-term therapy arrangements depending on what a person needs.
Her practice emphasises a multi-dimensional way of working - understanding that people are complex and that addressing more than just the presenting issue often produces better outcomes. Alongside talk-based work she explores areas such as sleep and rest patterns, diet and nutrition, life meaning and purpose, relationships and support systems, and emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Rupinder draws on a range of evidence-based methods to suit individual goals, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches are blended according to each client’s needs.
She has extensive experience supporting people with anxiety and stress, depression and low mood, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem and confidence, anger management, relationship difficulties and breakups, work-related stress and burnout, career change and life transitions, loss of meaning or direction, and academic pressure and exam-related stress for young adults and students. If an issue is not listed, she welcomes enquiries to discuss whether she can help.
Rupinder’s formal qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Staffordshire University (2011–2013), a Postgraduate Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy accredited by CMA and NCIP (2014–2016), an Advanced Certificate in CBT (2001) and an Advanced Certificate in Counselling (1995). She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), which recognises her professional training and standards. Her training also notes completion of Safeguarding Adults Training (2025).
Taking the first step can feel challenging, and Rupinder offers a supportive and confidential space to explore difficulties, work toward practical change and develop longer-term solutions for wellbeing and personal growth.
