Robert Paczkowski recognises that deciding to begin counselling can be difficult, yet sometimes reaching out and talking with someone is the step needed to improve quality of life.
He believes counselling is often an effective way to address life problems and is a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor. He holds the view that all people are of equal value and deserve to be heard and understood at a deep level, accepted without judgement.
Sessions with Robert are offered in a non-directive, non-judgmental atmosphere, and he stresses the importance of maintaining confidentiality throughout the counselling process. He has experience delivering short-term, medium-term and open-ended therapy and will discuss with clients which approach feels most appropriate at the first meeting.
He works with a range of issues including alcoholism, drug addiction, anger management, anxiety, discrimination, domestic violence, loneliness, low self-esteem, stress, work-related stress, low self-confidence and LGBTQ+ related issues.
Robert is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their ethical guidelines. He also holds an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Many people ask whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, using video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility helps therapy fit more easily into everyday life.
Each therapist is a licensed professional, and if a different match is preferred, clients have the option to switch therapists. Online therapy can therefore offer both effective support and practical convenience for many typical mental health and life challenges.
