About

Are you ready to experience positive growth and change?

You want life to be different and better. But you just don’t know how to make it happen. We all strive to be our “best” selves, yet we can get stuck and feel unsure about how to move forward. Where do you begin? What steps do you take?

Wherever you are right now, whatever you are struggling with, we will work together to truly understand who you are now and help you become who you wish to be. We will partner in what will be a holistic, personalized, creative plan that is designed to nurture your growth and help you experience true, lasting positive change.

There really isn’t a “one size fits all” approach as you are a unique individual. We will incorporate a variety of techniques and your care will be based on what you personally need. We will explore who you are and from there we will focus on the particular strategies and skills which best suit you.

Life is stressful. Now more than ever. Together, we can find solutions to help you navigate the difficulties of being human. We will discover your strengths. Along the way we may laugh, we may cry. We will definitely learn many new things about you as we partner to build you a more meaningful, purpose-filled life – one you’re excited to wake up to each day.

As a mental health counselor and psychotherapist, I seek to be creative and compassionate. I strive to be positive and encouraging, yet also practical and solution focused. Clients say I bring warmth, passion, and a sense of humor to our sessions. I strive to make your care comprehensive and I take an approach that is holistic.

My goal is to help you develop new skills and insights which will help you create a life you love.

If you are someone who is struggling, things can be different – things can be better.

I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. During my studies, I was awarded the title of RSA Scholar by the Rehabilitation Services Administration of the United States Department of Education. I was invited to join the USF Golden Key International Honor Society, as well as The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. I was named an Association of University Centers on Disabilities, Florida Center for Inclusive Communities Trainee.

I am licensed by the State of Florida Board of Health as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Additionally, I am certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).

I have worked in the fitness and wellness industry for more than 25+ years. I have obtained multiple fitness & health certifications including American Council on Exercise personal training certification, Mad Dogg Athletics group cycling certification, Nautilus strength training certification, and CoreFit Pilates Instructor certification. I also served as a fitness research assistant for a leading fitness/strength researcher and aided with varying projects including helping with strength training research for the U.S. military. I’ve proudly appeared in multiple fitness books. And, too, I worked as an Associate Editor and Writer for an internationally published fitness industry magazine for nearly 15 years.

It really would be an honor to help you. I look forward to being with you on your healing journey and I would love to help you reconnect to yourself.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people question whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. A major advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and daily routines. Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they would like a different fit. For many individuals, online therapy provides an accessible, effective way to address everyday mental health needs and life transitions.
