Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have experience in helping clients with many issues and we can discuss your needs and whether I can meet them in our first session.
My areas of particular interest are LGBTQ issues, neurodiversity, loss, and parent/adult child relationships.
Taking the first step into therapy can be scary, and I would be pleased to help you navigate your way along this journey.
The best indicator of a good outcome in therapy is the quality of relationship between a therapist and client. Let’s meet and see if we can work well together.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I am psychodynamically trained which means that in our work together we will look at your behaviours and relationships now and how they may have been affected by your experiences in your early years. We often create patterns in relationships and how we see ourselves in relation to the world when we are very young. Understanding this can help us to become conscious of why we do what we do now. We can then make a choice as to whether to continue that behaviour or make a change.
I am a qualified, insured psychotherapist/counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.

Miriam Berry is a qualified, insured psychotherapist and counsellor based in the United Kingdom, with four years of clinical experience. In an initial session she invites discussion about a client’s needs and whether her approach is the right fit, so people can make an informed choice about continuing therapy.
She has particular interests in LGBTQ issues, neurodiversity, bereavement and loss, and relationships between parents and adult children. Her practice also addresses stress, anxiety, relationship and family difficulties, eating concerns, grief, intimacy-related issues, self-esteem, depression and coping with life changes.
For many, beginning therapy can feel daunting, and Miriam offers steady support while clients find their way through that process. She emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship as the strongest predictor of positive outcomes and welcomes meeting to see if they can work well together.
Miriam is psychodynamically trained, which means she explores current behaviours and relationship patterns in light of early life experiences. Often people form ways of relating to others and to themselves when they are young; bringing these patterns into awareness can create the option to continue them or to choose new ways of being.
She identifies as a female, gay, older, non-religious and liberal therapist and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Miriam is available to support clients taking the first steps toward a more fulfilling and happier life.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face work.
Flexibility is one of the main benefits. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best – via video calls, telephone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into busy lives.
Each therapist involved in online practice is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to change therapists if they would like a different fit. This approach makes it practical to access skilled support from wherever you are.
