Mindy McDonald is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps people navigate the many challenges life presents. She works with individuals facing stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, depression, addictions, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy and parenting issues, self-esteem and career difficulties, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and other life transitions. She is also a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS).
With 10 years of clinical experience, Mindy brings a strengths-based, flexible approach that blends therapeutic methods to identify unhelpful patterns, explore how life experiences shaped them, and support clients in developing practical solutions. She meets people with warmth, sensitivity, and compassion, partnering with each person at a pace set by the client and honoring individual goals.
Mindy has worked in both clinical and crisis intervention settings and supports clients across the lifespan. She emphasizes building strong rapport and mutual respect as the foundation for lasting change, and she aims to leave each person better than she found them.
She maintains licensure as a clinical social worker across multiple states including Texas, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Tennessee, and holds advanced certification in grief counseling. Once a session is scheduled, Mindy will message to touch base and confirm. If available times do not suit a client, she invites them to reach out via the therapy room message option to arrange a mutually agreed appointment.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes - online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical experience show that remote sessions often deliver meaningful results for these types of issues.
One of the clearest benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that fits their life best - through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to keep appointments and maintain continuity of care.
All therapists referenced are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they prefer a different fit. For many people, the combination of clinical expertise and flexible access makes online therapy a practical and effective way to pursue mental health and personal growth.
