Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello – My name is Marla Anderson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Northeast Texas.
I started my counseling career as a school counselor more than 15 years ago. I began to make the change to an LPC in 2018, working both sides (school counseling and private practice). I fully made the crossover in June of 2021. During that time until the present, I have had the privilege to work with people from ages 3 to 73.
I have experience in helping my clients work through stress and anxiety, addiction issues, depression, and anger management as well as motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating all my clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and working together to come up with the best treatment plan to meet unique and specific needs. I use techniques from CBT and DBT as well as other counseling theories. I am also trained in EMDR and I am excited to offer this life altering therapy approach in my practice.
Making the choice to reach out for help is a big step, and the first step is always the hardest. Congratulations on taking that first step towards a healthier you. I look forward to our journey together.
