Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
As a licensed trauma informed integrative counsellor in the UK since 2010 I have successfully helped clients navigate various issues, including stress, anxiety, relationship problems, life changes, family conflicts, depression and more. My approach to counselling is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own story, and that you possess many inherent strengths that can aid you in overcoming obstacles and achieving a more fulfilling life.
I have extensive experience working for Mind as a Counsellor, counselling coordinator and mental health group facilitator. I have also worked as a counsellor for Turning Point, counselling clients with dependency or binge use of alcohol and drugs, and as a counsellor for clients at a homeless GP surgery, as well as having my private practice.
Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life changes or simply feeling stuck and uncertain, integrative counselling offers a flexible and tailored approach to meet your needs.
I believe that all aspects of our life past and present impact our wellbeing and mental health, and how we manage life in the here and now. By gaining an understanding of your unique story, together, we will work to uncover underlying patterns, develop greater self- awareness, discover your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, cultivate new perspectives that empower you to navigate life’s challenges.
As a trauma informed counsellor I also offer the Rewind Technique for Trauma symptoms including PDSD. This is an Imagery technique for the treatment of traumatic memories .
I look forward to working with you!

Marie Floyd is a licensed, trauma-informed integrative counsellor practising in the United Kingdom since 2010. Over the course of her 15-year career she has supported people with stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life changes, family conflict, depression and related concerns, using a flexible approach tailored to each person’s needs.
She works from the principle that each person is the expert on their own life and already carries strengths that can be drawn on to overcome obstacles and build a more satisfying life. By exploring an individual’s story, Marie aims to identify recurring patterns, increase self-awareness, highlight existing resources and develop practical coping strategies to help people move forward.
Marie has substantial experience working for Mind, where she held roles as a counsellor, counselling coordinator and mental health group facilitator. She has also been a counsellor with Turning Point, supporting clients with dependency or binge use of alcohol and drugs, and has provided counselling to patients at a homeless GP surgery in addition to maintaining a private practice.
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Marie offers the Rewind Technique for trauma symptoms including PDSD, an imagery technique used in the treatment of traumatic memories. She welcomes people seeking help for anxiety, depression, relationship matters, life transitions or for those simply feeling stuck, and provides integrative counselling intended to meet the needs of each individual.
Many people ask whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions, research and clinical experience indicate that remote therapy can be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major advantage of online therapy is convenience. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit support into a busy life or when in-person meetings are impractical.
Work is carried out by licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different therapeutic fit would be better, it is usually possible to switch therapists. This flexibility, combined with the proven utility of remote care for many common concerns, makes online therapy a practical option for many people seeking support.
