Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a licensed integrative psychotherapist which means that I use various modalities in my practice that are most suitable to your needs, I describe this as a tool kit and through exploration i will support you in finding the best tool/tools for your needs.
I have extensive experience working with various complex issues relating to mental health such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, suicidal ideation, relationships & family dynamics as well as attachment, self esteem/worth, motivation as well as many more.
My practice focuses solely on you and your needs through a client lead approach.
Types of therapy I offer are :
*Person centred/ Humanistic therapy*
Humanistic therapies focus on self-development, growth and responsibilities to help individuals recognise their strengths, creativity and choice. By working with a humanistic counsellor, you are supported in identifying and overcoming any blocks that are preventing you from achieving your full potential.
*Cognitive behaviour therapy, CBT*
Behavioural therapies are centred around understanding how we think (cognitive) and/or the way we behave. These therapeutic approaches recognise that it is possible to change, or recondition, our thoughts or behaviour to overcome specific problems.
*Trauma focused therapy*
Integral eye movement therapy (IEMT) helps bring about rapid change through the use of eye movement and helps you address and resolve the question, “how did this person learn to feel the way they feel about the things that they feel bad about?”

* Solution focused therapy*
Solution-focused therapy (SFBT) also known as solution-focused brief therapy or brief therapy, is an approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. While it acknowledges present problems and past causes, SFBT predominantly explores an individual’s current resources and future hopes. This can help you look forward and use their own strengths to achieve your goals.
*Transactional Analysis* this is known also know as TA, TA is a psychoanalytic theory which helps provide understanding communication styles and behaviours in ourselves and others, this method helps you become more aware and able to analyse the process of transactions in communication with others, creating self awareness of how you think, feel and behave.
I provide a safe and confidential space for you to discuss your needs and formulate a plan to help you achieve the life you want. I believe the best investment you can make is in yourself and I am there to support you through your journey.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about the therapy process and your expectations.

Louise Baxter is a licensed integrative psychotherapist who draws on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each person’s unique needs. She describes her work as a toolkit – through collaborative exploration she helps clients identify and use the techniques that suit them best.
She has extensive experience supporting people with a variety of complex mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, suicidal ideation, relationship and family dynamics, attachment, self-esteem and motivation, among others. Her practice is client-led and focused on the individual’s needs and goals.
Louise offers person-centred humanistic therapy, which concentrates on self-development, recognising strengths and exploring personal choice to overcome barriers to growth. She also uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to examine patterns of thinking and behaviour and to develop practical strategies for change. For trauma-related work she provides trauma-focused interventions including Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), a method that uses guided eye movement to address the ways people learn to feel about distressing events (see https://integraleyemovementtherapy.com/ for more on IEMT).
Other approaches in her practice include solution-focused brief therapy, which emphasises clients’ existing resources and future hopes to build solutions, and Transactional Analysis (TA), a model that helps people understand communication patterns and behavioural transactions with others. Louise aims to create a supportive environment where clients can discuss their concerns and together devise a plan to achieve the outcomes they want.
She encourages questions about the therapy process and what to expect, and views investing in therapy as an investment in oneself, offering guidance and support throughout the journey.
