Thank you for taking the first step to reach out to someone for support. I know it takes a lot to recognize the need for extra support and you should be proud of yourself. I want you to feel like I am a good fit for you along this journey. Finding the right person to help you through these challenges is very important.
I have been a social worker for the past four years. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with post- partum mood disorders, family conflict, parenting issues and life transitions. I also have experience working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds such military families, adolescents, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. I see my role as meeting you where you are, listening to you, and offering support to you along the way. Together we will explore your current strengths, concerns, needs and develop your goals for working together. People I have worked with in the past have described me as nonjudgmental, caring, authentic and friendly. I work from a strengths based perspective and use a variety approaches based on your individual needs such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)
