Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a BACP registered Therapist with experience of working with a wide range of presenting issues, including anxiety and depression. My approach to Therapy is underpinned by valuing and nurturing the therapeutic relationship; that means getting to know you and the issues you would like to work on. I can incorporate my training, skills and experience to TF-CBT and CBT, creative techniques emotion focused and talking therapies. All at relational depth, in a way you will find the most beneficial. My approach is one that fosters co-production to help you gain insight and solutions.
I offer both trauma informed and trauma focussed therapy – Trauma focussed work may be helpful for people who have experienced or witnessed specific traumatic events. I have significant experience of working with clients who have experienced sexual abuse and complex and traumatic bereavement. I am also experienced in working with Domestic abuse. I work in a way that utilises the three-phase model of trauma recovery, often based on Judith Herman’s work, These phases are: Safety and Stabilisation, Remembrance and Trauma Processing, and Reconnection and Integration. This model emphasises that trauma recovery is not a aways a linear process and that clients may need to come back to these phases throughout the work. Trauma work starts with acknowledging and normalising how the brain and nervous system work. This approach can be applied to all manner of presenting issues, where appropriate.
I am also experienced in working with self-harm, and my MSc thesis looked at the experiences of therapists working with self-harm.
I believe that you are the expert of your life story and together we can uncover and enhance your unique strengths. I will help you to overcome challenges, valuing you and without judgement. At times therapy can be hard, and It takes courage to seek out a more contented and fulfilling life. I am here to support & empower throughout your journey.

Leanne Glennon is a BACP-registered therapist with 17 years of clinical experience, offering support for a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression. She places great importance on building and nurturing the therapeutic relationship, taking time to understand each person and the concerns they want to work on.
Her practice draws on training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) and CBT, alongside creative techniques, emotion-focused work and talking therapies, all delivered at relational depth in the way that will be most helpful to the individual. She emphasises co-production, working collaboratively to help clients gain insight and practical solutions.
Leanne offers both trauma-informed and trauma-focused therapy. Trauma-focused work may be appropriate for people who have experienced or witnessed specific traumatic events, and she has significant experience supporting survivors of sexual abuse and people facing complex and traumatic bereavement. She also works with those affected by domestic abuse.
Her trauma approach commonly follows the three-phase model of trauma recovery associated with Judith Herman – Safety and Stabilisation, Remembrance and Trauma Processing, and Reconnection and Integration. This framework recognises that recovery is not always linear and that clients may return to different phases at various points in their work. Trauma-focused sessions typically begin by acknowledging and normalising how the brain and nervous system respond to distress.
Leanne is experienced in working with self-harm; her MSc thesis examined the experiences of therapists working in this area. She approaches therapy with respect for the client as the expert in their own life, aiming to uncover and build on strengths without judgement. She recognises that therapy can be challenging and that seeking support takes courage, and she is committed to supporting and empowering people throughout their journey.
