Judith Ramsay graduated from Sunderland University in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA Hons) in Counselling. She practises as an integrative counsellor and draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Therapy, Client-Centred Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to inform her work.
She has experience working with individuals and adapts techniques from a range of modalities to suit each person’s needs. Judith also supports carers to explore their caring role and the impact this can have on their own health and wellbeing, and she has worked with adult survivors of childhood abuse.
Working in a holistic way, Judith aims to provide a safe, positive and respectful experience. She recognises that clients are the experts in their own stories and uses that perspective to identify strengths and develop practical coping strategies to overcome challenges.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or managing life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can choose the mode of contact that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to engage in a way that feels most comfortable.
All therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit.
