Dr. Jonathan Behler helps people pursue greater peace, harmony, a rewarding career, and healthier family life when circumstances make those goals feel out of reach.
He recognizes that life brings unexpected losses, crises, and changes that can leave someone feeling unmoored, and he provides a place to unload concerns and work through practical solutions to the problems at hand. He aims to walk alongside clients as they evaluate options and build coping strategies.
He holds a Master of Divinity in Theology, a Master in Professional Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is licensed as a clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina and as a professional counselor in Alabama. His training includes certifications in AACC counseling with panic disorder; neurobiology and addiction; clinical trauma practice; Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for traumatized children; and in sexuality and sexual addiction.
With 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Behler has worked with people facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, Tourette Syndrome, OCD, and marital and family difficulties. He has also supported military service members and their families with PTSD-related issues, as well as clergy and their families with concerns connected to church life. He seeks to be the person clients can turn to when they need steady guidance through difficult times.
