Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi!
Firstly, I’m so glad you are taking the time to read some therapists’ profiles to find the right person to work with. This is a hugely important!
You need to feel able to trust and confide in your therapist, and have someone you get on with and that you feel really understands.
I’m Jess, and I have been a therapist in both a health-care setting and private practice for over 15 years. I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, MA in Clinical Counselling, and a Diploma in CBT. My training has allowed me to develop skills from a number of different therapy approaches….
But what does that actually mean?
Well, ultimately, until I work with you to gain a better understanding of the problem, it’s actually hard to say, because depending on what you are hoping to work on in therapy, sessions can be very different from person to person. It’s my job to be able to adapt. Maybe you aren’t even sure what you want from therapy at this stage, and that’s also ok!
My hope is to be able to explore your troubles with you, and then I can offer some ideas to be able to work with those troubles, based on my training and experience.
Sometimes that can be straightforward, and sometimes time is needed to really understand what is going on, but that is what therapy is all about.
A health warning, therapy can be tough, and may involve or incur change, but if the status quo is not working for you, maybe change is needed, and working through that is what I am here to help with.
Whether or not you feel I am the right therapist for you, I send you my best wishes for the sessions.

Jessica Cooke understands how important it is to take time choosing the right therapist and appreciates anyone who reads profiles carefully.
She has worked as a therapist in both health-care settings and private practice for over 15 years. Her academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MA in Clinical Counselling and a Diploma in CBT, which means she combines an undergraduate degree in psychology, a master’s in counselling and specific training in cognitive behavioural therapy.
Jessica adapts her approach to fit each person she sees, because what is helpful in therapy often depends on the issue being addressed and the individual’s needs. She is comfortable working with people who are not yet sure what they want from therapy and will take time to explore concerns and clarify goals together.
Her aim is to help clients understand the problems they are facing and then offer practical, evidence-informed ideas for working with those issues. Some problems can be straightforward to address, while others need more time to uncover patterns and causes – and that process is central to therapeutic work.
Jessica is open about the fact that therapy can be challenging and may involve change. If the current situation is not working, she supports people through the process of working toward different ways of living and relating.
Whether or not Jessica is the right fit, she sends her best wishes to anyone beginning or continuing their therapy journey.
