Jemma Hamilton-Fletcher

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi, I’m Jemma. I provide a space where anyone can explore what’s holding them back, without judgement or pressure. I understand how overwhelming anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt can feel, and how exhausting it is to feel stuck or constantly self-critical.

I’m autistic and ADHD, which informs my approach and helps me notice patterns, understand emotional and sensory overwhelm, and create a safe, accepting space for all clients, neurodivergent or not. My goal is to help you feel calmer, more confident, and in control of your life.

People often come to me feeling burnt out, stuck, or overwhelmed by self-critical loops. Through our work together, they begin to notice small shifts: more ease in daily life, greater confidence in decisions, and the ability to put their own needs alongside everyone else’s.

I specialise in supporting people with:

Anxiety – develop tools to understand and manage it effectively

Perfectionism – explore what drives the need to be perfect, and reduce self-criticism

Low Self-Esteem – build self-compassion and feel good enough as you are

I also work with adults navigating a variety of challenges, including life transitions, stress, burnout, and relationship difficulties.

My Approach

I work holistically, considering your thoughts, feelings, body, and experiences. My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, humanistic, and mindfulness-based methods.

I often include:

– Practical exercises and reflections
– Creative tools for fresh perspectives
– Psychoeducation, where helpful

Everything is offered at a pace that feels safe and manageable, tailored to what works best for you.

Counselling is most effective when approached consistently, so I usually recommend a minimum of 3–6 months, though this is flexible depending on your needs.

My clients find that their most successful sessions happen when they deliberately carve out some time before and after sessions to think about what you’d like to discuss, and spend time processing our work together.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Online therapy can be an effective option for many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or navigating life changes. For those everyday difficulties, research has found that online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with their therapist in the way that suits them best – through video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.

Therapists offering online appointments are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist at any time if they need a better fit. For many, the combination of accessibility and professional support makes online therapy a practical and helpful choice.
