My scope encompasses the mind, body, and spirit connection. I am also certified in Biofeedback, Culinary Health Coaching and I have recently completed specialization in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy for both preparation and integration work. I am a mom of three incredible young adults and have been married for over 25 years.
My education and unique life experience provides an integrative perspective in the therapeutic space that allows for an increased awareness and compassionate stance for all my clients.
I help individuals who are looking for insight into their struggles with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, & trauma. I also have experience working with life transitions and have specialized training in psychedelic psychotherapy integration work. My approach is driven by Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Trauma Informed interventions such as Compassionate Inquiry and Parts Work.
I look to provide a safe space for openness and curiosity where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. We will work together to discover patterns of behavior that are no longer useful to you and uncover insights into how to move forward in your life and write the story that gives you the most meaning.

Iris Tanton is a licensed psychotherapist in Florida with six years of professional experience across diverse clinical settings. She is a first-generation Latin woman raised in the United States who also lived for many years as an expat in Spain, a background that informs her culturally aware approach to care.
While living in Europe she studied Culinary Arts and trained as a chef specializing in healthy cooking, which contributed to an integrative approach to wellness and holistic healing that considers the connection between mind, body, and spirit. She holds certification in Biofeedback and Culinary Health Coaching and has completed specialization in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy for both preparation and integration work.
As a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL LMHC MH19794), Iris combines evidence-based methods with trauma-informed interventions. Her approach is grounded in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-aware practices such as Compassionate Inquiry and Parts Work.
She works with people facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, addiction, grief, parenting and family concerns, eating issues, anger, low self-esteem, and major life changes, including psychedelic integration needs. Iris provides a reflective, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore thoughts and feelings, identify unhelpful patterns, and uncover insights that support moving forward and creating a more meaningful personal narrative.
Outside of her clinical work she is a mother of three young adults and has been married for more than 25 years, experiences that also shape her empathetic and pragmatic view of family and life transitions.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and managing life changes, remote therapy has been shown to be comparably effective to in-person sessions for most individuals.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can choose the communication method that fits their schedule and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it simpler to maintain continuity of care alongside day-to-day responsibilities.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. For many people dealing with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible, practical, and evidence-informed way to get support and work toward meaningful change.
