Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a professional counsellor, psychotherapist and Holistic Coach. I have a post graduate diploma from Leeds Beckett University and I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As an integrative holistic therapist I use a range of approaches to support you including person centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and existential therapy alongside my intuition and empathic abilities which assist me in connecting with you. I believe we are all unique, therefore trying to use one method for all just does not work.
Throughout my 7 years of experience I have worked with a broad range of issues such as unhealed childhood trauma, self limiting beliefs, low self esteem, toxic unhealthy relationships and various levels of anxiety. I have supported many people from a range of different backgrounds and ages both within a workplace and school environment and in my private practice either online, via telephone or face 2 face.
I always describe to clients that finding the right counsellor is the same as finding the right hairdresser. You try a few and then you find one that really gets who you are and you work with them to understand your needs slowly building a healthy and trustworthy relationship. Once that happens you naturally begin to open up and then walk away feeling you have a new perspective on things, just like you feel good when you walk out of a salon with the look you really desired. Although I can’t fix hair, I can help you better understand your mind, thoughts and behaviours and in turn change how you feel about yourself and situations that may be causing you much suffering.
I’m here to be with you on your journey. I’m not here to tell you what to do but to help guide you in developing your own awareness of who you really are, to find inner peace, acceptance, forgiveness and trust your inner guide to direct you in ways that are empowering. We can then focus on what is important for us and become less burdened by what others think.
My style is very warm and interactive and I’m here to help and support. You are not alone.
I look forward to working with you.

Helen Pool is a professional counsellor, psychotherapist and Holistic Coach who holds a postgraduate diploma from Leeds Beckett University and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As an integrative holistic therapist she draws on person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and existential approaches, alongside her intuition and empathic abilities, to build connection and support.
Across seven years of practice she has worked with a broad range of concerns, including unhealed childhood trauma, self-limiting beliefs, low self-esteem, toxic or unhealthy relationships and various levels of anxiety. She has supported people from different backgrounds and ages in workplace and school settings as well as in private practice, offering sessions online, by telephone or face to face.
Helen often likens the search for the right counsellor to finding the right hairdresser – it can take trying a few before you meet someone who really understands you and with whom you can build a trusting relationship. When that fit occurs, people tend to open up and gain fresh perspective, much like the boost you get from a desired change of look.
While she cannot change hair, Helen can help clients better understand their minds, thoughts and behaviours so they can alter how they feel about themselves and the situations causing suffering. Her aim is to guide people toward greater self-awareness, acceptance, forgiveness and inner trust, supporting them to focus on what matters rather than being overly burdened by others’ expectations.
Her style is warm and interactive, offering practical support without telling clients what to do. She is available to be alongside clients on their journey, helping them develop their own awareness and empowering them to make changes. She looks forward to working with you.
