Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi! My name is Helen and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I’ve been in the field for 26 years, and in practice for 9 years. I’ve worked in various therapeutic settings such as employee assistance, providing on-going clinical services and case management for employees with work performance problems. I’ve also worked in preventive services, providing brief and extended therapy to children, adolescents, couples, and families, as well as working in a substance abuse outpatient setting, where I provided substance abuse counseling for adolescents and adults. I have a special interest in personality disorders and currently run two online support groups for survivors, as well as Cluster B individuals working on self-awareness and behavior modification.
I would describe my approach to therapy as warm, non-judgmental, and empathic. My role is that of a facilitator. Through our sessions my goal is to help you work on the areas of your life that you feel you are struggling with.

Helen Perez-Boyd is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in New York. She has worked in the helping professions for 26 years and has maintained a private practice for 9 years, bringing a breadth of experience to her clinical work.
Her background includes roles in employee assistance programs, where she provided ongoing clinical services and case management for employees facing work performance challenges. She has also delivered preventive services, offering both brief and extended therapy to children, adolescents, couples, and families.
Helen spent time in a substance abuse outpatient setting, providing counseling for adolescents and adults with substance use concerns. She has a particular interest in personality disorders and currently facilitates two online support groups – one for survivors and another for individuals with Cluster B traits who are focused on self-awareness and behavior change.
Her therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, and empathic, with a facilitative approach that supports clients in addressing areas of life where they feel challenged. Through collaboration in sessions, she aims to help people make progress on the issues that matter most to them.
Many people ask whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits their life, whether that is a video session, a phone call, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to keep regular appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and offers the same therapeutic focus as in-person work. If a different match is desired, clients are able to switch therapists to find the best fit for their needs.
Overall, online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health concerns and relationship challenges.
