Heidi Shock

Heidi Shock is a mental health and substance abuse therapist based in Michigan with over fourteen years of experience working with high-risk clients, primarily within the criminal justice system.

She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University. She is a Michigan-licensed Master of Social Work and brings clinical training and real-world experience to her practice.

Heidi provides a laid-back, non-judgmental, and safe space that helps individuals open up about issues that create barriers in their lives. She has worked with people of all demographics and ages, from teens through older adults, and has supported clients facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma and abuse, substance use and addictions, bipolar disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, compassion fatigue, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy and parenting concerns, anger management, low self esteem, and coping with life changes and stress.

Her clinical approach integrates client-centered work with cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, motivational interviewing, narrative methods, and rational-emotive therapy. Taking that first step toward change takes courage, and Heidi is available to support and empower clients who are ready to move forward.
