I am a licenced counsellor/psychotherapist in the UK with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping both adult and teenage clients with a range of issues, some of these include depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, career difficulties, sexuality, and grief and bereavement.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I will be there to walk alongside you while you explore these difficult problems and will provide a safe confidential space in which you can do this.
I am a person centred counsellor believing that everyone has the ability to develop and grow given the right space. I also work on goal setting and can help you look at what you would like to gain out of therapy and how we can look at setting those achievable goals together.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is extremely brave I am proud of you for getting started! Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your journey and how I can help you.

Emma Neilson is a licenced counsellor and psychotherapist practising in the United Kingdom with 6 years of professional experience. She works with both adult and teenage clients and supports people facing difficulties such as depression, stress and anxiety, relationship problems, motivation issues, low self-esteem and confidence, career difficulties, questions about sexuality, and grief and bereavement.
Working from a person-centred perspective, Emma holds the view that each person is the expert of their own story and already possesses strengths that can help them manage life’s challenges. She offers a supportive, safe space in which clients can explore difficult topics while she walks alongside them through the therapeutic process.

She recognises that beginning therapy is a brave step and welcomes contact from anyone who would like to discuss their journey and how she can help.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For a wide range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility. You can connect with a therapist in the way that suits you best: via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to choose the format that feels most comfortable.
Each therapist offering online services is a licensed professional, and if you ever want a different fit you can switch to another therapist. Online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health concerns.
