Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
ABOUT ME
My name is Effie Hicks, a qualified psychotherapist based in Herne Hill, South East London.
I have a Masters degree in psychotherapy and healing and I am a registered member with the BACP. I hold private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist with adults, couples, and children.
I work as an integrative psychotherapist providing therapy in a friendly and supportive environment. My therapy style is warm and interactive and my approach combines Jungian, psychodynamic, mindful, and person centered therapy. I tailor my sessions so that they meet each client’s unique and individual needs.
It was the experience of having been a client myself and seen how much I gained from my own therapy, that inspired me to train and qualify as a psychotherapist. Even though making that first step is hard, it is undeniably a step towards healing. I will work with you and support you with an open mind, warmth and understanding as you heal, change and grow.
I can offer help with the following:
Depression
Anger management
Anxiety and stress
Cultural issues
Personal development
Relationships
Self esteem
Abuse
Trauma

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the key advantages is flexibility – you can connect in the way that suits you best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and if you feel a different fit would be better you can switch therapists at any time.
