CANCELATION/NO SHOW POLICY
This counselor encourages at least 24-hour notice of appointment cancellation. Should an individual need to cancel an appointment, the individual will inform the counselor at their earliest convenience. Should the individual need to cancel fewer than 24 hours before their appointment, the cancellation will be reported as a “no-show/late cancellation” and they will receive an auto-generated alert email from BetterHelp indicating this.
This counselor will wait 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment start time, if the individual does not come online prior to that time, the counselor will consider the individual as a no-show and the session will need to be rescheduled.
After 2 late cancellations/no-shows within a month, the counselor may not be able to continue to accommodate preferred session times and dates. If this occurs, the counselor will not allow scheduling during “premium hours” such as Early Morning (before 10 am), Late Afternoon (after 3 pm). The counselor will require attendance at 2 consecutive appointments in order to begin to allow scheduling during “premium hours” again. Should there be 3 late cancellations/no-shows within a 6-week span, the counselor may recommend that the individual seek in-person treatment and/or switch counselors on the BetterHelp Platform.

This counselor requests at least 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations made fewer than 24 hours before an appointment are recorded as a no-show/late cancellation and will trigger an auto-generated alert email from BetterHelp indicating the late cancellation. After two late cancellations or no-shows within a month, the counselor may not be able to accommodate preferred session times during premium hours such as early morning (before 10:00am) or late afternoon (after 3:00pm). For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life transitions – online therapy can be an effective option. Research and clinical experience indicate that, for these typical issues, remote sessions can be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person therapy.
One major benefit of online care is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that works best for them, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access support from a convenient location.
All providers involved are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they are seeking a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical and accessible way to receive professional support for common mental health and life concerns.
